Our first Holiday Park to be reviewed in the most popular traditional resort seaside town of Skegness is quite possibly the closest to the action. Yet Skegness Holiday Park enjoys a quiet spot to the south of the town and is also only a 20 minute walk to the nearby large golden sandy beach.
Although this dog friendly Holiday Park is long established, it has more recently been taken over by Haven Holidays and is currently going through some impressive updates which will see a new and improved bar, stage and entertainment venue, a new family friendly pub and restaurant serving great family meals and refreshing drinks. An improved amusement arcade featuring all the favourites including the 2 penny games, a Papa John’s Pizza takeaway and Burger King. These should all be completed by the summer of 2023, but for now there is still plenty of entertainment and facilities offering you a great stay. Such as the indoor heated swimming pool, the children’s outdoor play area, arcade and the entertainment marquee.
If you’re cooking for yourself they have an onsite supermarket or head to Cooks Fish and Chip restaurant for a classic English dish. Skegness Water Leisure Park offers something a bit different from the indoor pools, high ropes and flume rides of other holiday parks locally, but that doesn’t mean there’s not much to do. Far from it! Situated just three miles to the north of Skegness and set amongst several fishing and fun lakes, this holiday park is perfect not only for those wishing to visit the beautiful beaches, the vibrant and exciting seaside town of Skegness and the exciting Fantasy Island. But also it offers the opportunity for real relaxation whilst sat with fishing rod in hand at the lakeside banks of three well stocked fishing lakes containing a wide variety of fish including tench, bream and carp, with a fisherman’s lodge selling all you need from bait to tackle.
