We have predominantly tried to have an even spread across the entire United Kingdom rather than feature only those from the south west as an example. But what makes one Away Resort holiday park better than another? Is it due to it's location, the facilities on offer, the daily entertainment schedule, or the fact that it maybe a vibrant holiday park as opposed to a relaxing quieter holiday park? Each couple or family require different things from their holiday, whether that be due to family size, requirements and budgets etc. With that in mind we do hope you agree that we have selected a good range of holiday parks within The Away Resorts portfolio to review which reflect a range of dirfferent features.

Tattershall Lakes Country Park really packs a punch with regards to location, surroundings and activities and that makes Tattershall Lakes our favourite Away Resorts holiday park. The facilities, location and the lakes are outstanding and this is a firm favourite with many families and we think it is one of the best parks in the country!
The park is surrounded by numerous lakes featuring man made beaches and locations where you can relax with a drink in hand. There is also a whole host of water based activities to participate in including gentle pedlo and Jet Ski rides.
The facilities and activities do not stop there though and there are far too many to mention here. You should really check them out! There's a wonderful outdoor lakeside lido, exciting aqua parks including an inflatable waterpark. If you prefer to stay dry there's a high rope course, zip wires and an adventure playground. There are a number of places to eat and drink including restaurants and bars with outdoor terraces overlooking the beautiful lakes. With a variety of entertainment and an amusement arcade, there's never a dull moment.
As with all reviewed Away Resorts above there is a range of accommodation to stay in suitable for small and large groups with private hot tubs if you wish. There is also the opportunity to purchase holiday homes in this wonderful part of the Lincolnshire countryside near to days out at the famous resort town of Skegness or The Wolds Wildlife Park.

Sandy Balls Holiday Park would be a fantastic choice for those who enjoy forest walks, feeling sand between their toes and alpaca walking. Yes you did read that correctly! Alpaca walking is one of the activities you can do whilst staying at Sandy Balls Holiday Park in The New Forest.
Alongside the alpaca experience, there is lots to do at Sandy Balls Holiday Park in this beautiful area of Hampshire. Activities include arts and crafts, archery and cycling. Don't worry if you can't fit your bikes on the roof of the car as they have a cycle hire centre where you can hire bicycles for all the family to explore the local surroundings and wildlife. The New Forest is a glorious part of the UK if you and your family love walking or cycling through ancient, established woodlands and forests, admiring the local wildlife including the horses which roam free. Days out at the nearby vibrant town of Bournmouth with its beautiful beach, pier and lots of local independent restaurants is only a short drive away. Just a short ferry ride away from mainland U.K is the beautiful island of The Isle of Wight. A very popular and well established holiday destination for many UK and international visitors on the south coast of Hampshire.
Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park is a great choice on an island which boasts four Away Resorts to choose from, presenting a problem in itself as to which one to choose for our top ten to review. With that said, we chose Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park with it's impressive and stunning location benefitting from views over and private access to the sandy beach below with it's own beach cafe. Here you can enjoy a relaxing coffee whilst the kids dip their toes or build sand castles.
Onsite, there is lot's to do for all the family such as a visit to the indoor and outdoor swimming pools complete with slides. There's a wooden playground, a mini golf course and activities to take part in such as art and crafts and archery, too many to mention here so do take a look yourself! There is entertainment on offer throughout the season including live music acts.
The Isle of Wight really does offer so many great days out to suit all family members such as sight seeing and chair lift rides at the majestic Needles Landmark attraction. You could take the children to see a variety of animals such as primates and large cats at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. Or why not head out to Blackgang Chine the UK's oldest fun park for a day full of fun and adventure. With festivals, shows and boat races throughout the year there's certainly a lot going on.

Similar to The Isle of Wight, Cornwall also has a number of Away Resorts to choose from, with us selecting St Ives Bay Holiday Park to review within our top seven due to it's proximity and private access to a 3 mile stretch of beach. Cornwall is a much loved and visited area of the UK and with good reason due to it's warm climate, stunning beaches, visitor attractions and rugged coastline.
St Ives Bay Holiday Park from Away Resorts really benefits from it's beautiful location within the St Ives Bay area allowing you to really feel relaxed in it's natural coastal surroundings. Here you can feel the sand beneath your toes, explore the sand dunes and take long walks along the wide open expanses of beach or play in the surf. Whatever you do, do we’re sure this Away Resort park is a good choice for a much needed family break.
There is an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor play area with sea views for the children to enjoy. There's a bistro, bar and restaurant which offer a good choice of foods and drinks at venues to relax and unwind in. These Include a beachside terrace where you can relax in good company with drinks in hand.
St Ives Bay Holiday Park has a great choice of ways to consider for your stay depending upon what your family requirements and budget are. These include, electric and non-electric camping pitches, pods, chalet's, caravan's and lodges. Further a field there is a wide selection of days out which can be explored such as 'The Track' near Portreath if your kids love spending time on their bikes. Surrounded by rolling hills, sandy beaches, world class golf courses and beautiful lochs, Piperdam Leisure Resort located in Scotland is a great choice for golf lovers, people who enjoy complete relaxation, rest and recuperation whilst the kids participate in a variety of 'go active' activities.
There are a range of natural built lodges in a beautiful setting to choose from to suit your family needs and budgets including pet friendly stays. Some of those lodges have hot tubs and sauna's, with some benefitting from lakeside and woodland views and there is a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, spa and sauna room offering a huge range of treatments. There's a soft play area and a number of 'Go Active' activities the kids will love to get involved in during their stay such as foot golf and table tennis.
The real jewel in the crown for golf enthusiasts is the two onsite golf courses, one a nine hole course whilst the other being a full 18 hole par 71 course set in beautiful surroundings. It's always difficult to select a group of holiday parks to feature in a top seven. However we believe we have selected a fine group of locations within the Away Resorts portfolio. We have really tried to cover a wide range of choices based upon a good facilities, activities on offer, a good choice of ways in which you can stay and probably most importantly locations which are diverse across the UK.
