Holiday Parks in Margate & Birchington

Birchington-on-Sea, Westgate-on-Sea, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate sit on the tip of the east of Kent and the area has been a popular tourist destination for many years. There is a really good selection of holiday parks around Birchington, Westgate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs from small to large with great facilities. These include the super large parks, you can even have your own on park golf course, swimming pools, adventure playgrounds and entertainment day or night. There are also numerous campsites for camping and glamping in the area, several touring and motorhome parks plus some parks with luxury lodges, a great selection on offer.

Margate is one of the oldest tourist destinations around, well known for its beach and Dreamland Amusement Park, Margate is a tourist haven. The beach here can get busy, a traditional seaside town with a long stretch of fine sand is really attractive and Margate has so much going on, all geared to tourism and there is always a show on at the Winter Gardens. Margate has so many events throughout the year and has transformed itself into a somewhat trendy and chic location, probably influenced by the Turner Gallery which is well worth a visit.

Birchington-on-Sea is more sedate and has the Minnis Bay beach right on your doorstep. A long sandy beach that is great for sandcastles and if you have young children as it is gently sloping and has a lifeguard service. Ramsgate Beach is a bit more like Margate, loads going on, really nice sand and easy to access with the marina next to it and a lifeguard on hand in the summer.
