Where Can You Explore From these Denbighshire Caravan Parks?

The vast majority of tourists heading to Denbighshire will visit the coast, this is a relatively short stretch comprised mainly of Prestatyn and Rhyl with Dyserth and St Asaph further inland. The main reason for visiting the area are the beaches. Both Rhyl and Prestatyn are traditional Victorian seaside resorts set behind long sandy beaches. Rhyl beach is a long expanse of sands which becomes very big as the tide goes out with groynes to prevent erosion. A traditional resort, Rhyl suffered as tourism changed from the 1970’s but today still gets a large number of people visiting for holidays and day trips, especially when the sun comes out and the long sandy beach is very popular.

Prestatyn has a four mile long promenade and three sandy beaches along the stretch with groynes along the beach and part backed by sand dunes. The beach is large enough so that you can always find some space, even in the summer, a long sandy stretch with easy access. Prestatyn is probably the better place if the weather is not that great, Nova offers indoor play and a nice swimming pool and there are plenty of shops at Parc Prestatyn.
