Mold is around a 20 minute drive away and is ideal for shops, markets, cafes and local food. Loggerheads Country Park is approximately 8 miles away and is one of the easiest countryside trips from the park, with woodland paths, riverside walks and limestone scenery in the Clwydian Range.

Moel Famau is also close by and is one of the best known walking spots in the area. It is the highest summit in the Clwydian Range, with wide views across North Wales and towards North West England on clear days. It is a great choice for guests who enjoy walking and want a memorable local viewpoint.

Llangollen is around a 30 minute drive and is perfect for a full day out. Visitors can enjoy the riverside town, steam railway, canal walks, independent shops and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct nearby.
