Holiday Parks in the Lake District

The Lake District is a National Park and one of England’s most visited locations. Famed for it stunning scenery that has inspired poets and writers for generations, the Lake District is  inspiring, breath taking, exhilarating and relaxing, it just depends where you want to go and what you want to feel. There are numerous Lake District holiday parks in and on the edges of the National Park. There are a good number of Lake District parks with holiday lodges as these are more suitable to be used as holiday accommodation during the winter months. There are many caravan parks in the Lake District and the surrounding countryside and several campsites in the Lake District which are great for a cheap holiday during the summer months plus a growing number of Lake District parks with glamping on site.

The Lake District has something to offer everyone, from adrenaline junkies to food lovers, sit in a café by Windermere or take a pleasure cruise on the lake, the choice is yours. For walkers, Scafell Pike is really popular but there are loads of walking routes around the lakes. If you want more action, try water-sports and there are several adventure centres offering everything from canyoning to abseiling. There are lots of experience days on offer from archery to survival courses, the Lake District is also a foodies heaven so there are many great restaurants to explore.

For self-catering holiday accommodation, the choice is great. From large holiday parks with pools and entertainment and more that typically sit just outside of the border of the National Park, to small independent campsites. Due to the nature of planning restrictions, some of the larger parks are not officially within the National Park but on the borders. There are several parks within the Lake District that offer holiday lodge and log cabin holidays and a number of parks in the Lake District that offer static caravan holidays and touring and motorhome pitches.
