Holiday Parks in Caister-on-Sea

Caister-on-Sea sits to the north of Great Yarmouth with California and Scratby along the same stretch of coastline further north. The long sandy beaches here draw in many tourists every year, quieter than nearby Great Yarmouth, but a short drive away, Caister-on-Sea, California and Scratby together offer a more peaceful location for a family holiday but within easy reach of the lights and fun of Great Yarmouth.

There are numerous holiday parks around Caister-on-Sea, Scratby and California, some large and some smaller independent parks offering camping, touring and motorhome pitches, lodges and glamping. The beaches here are great, Caister Point is a peaceful sandy beach backed by dunes, a great place to relax. California beach sits below the cliffs along which there are a number of California caravan parks. A great fun beach with lots of sand and space and they do get some decent waves here as well. Scratby Beach is very similar, a sand and shingle beach with a stone wall that protects the nearby Scratby caravan parks from coastal erosion and is dog friendly. Ideal if you want a beachside walk along the top and generally one of the quieter beaches.

Caister-on-Sea is a village, far more tranquil than Great Yarmouth that enhances the appeal. The town is a short drive away with all of the fun, nightlife, amusements and Pleasure Beach so if you want to have lots of things to do and yet be in a more peaceful location, Caister-on-Sea, Scratby and California are probably the better options.
