The Foxhunter Park
Monkton, Nr Ramsgate
The Foxhunter Park is in the village of Monkton near Minster, close to Birchington Vale Holiday Park and is also again in a great location although marginally further out. This is an independent holiday park that was established in 1979 as a 5 star holiday park that is family owned so you tend to get a more personal touch, the family are proud of their park and rightly so! The park is designed to be more exclusive than standard holiday parks with exceptional attention to detail from the plush sofas in ‘Le Club’ to the standard of the grounds. We really love the water garden for example, really tranquil and a great place to really relax.
There is a heated outdoor swimming pool at The Foxhunter Park with slides and a diving board, when was the last time you saw a diving board at a holiday park, great fun! Additional facilities include a tennis court, adventure play area and a kids entertainment area. The grounds are really well kept and include a walking area, you can take your dog here and a meadow.
We really like The Foxhunter Park near Ramsgate because it offers something different, independently owned and has those touches of class, peaceful, well kept and really designed to be stress free rather than in your face!

New Beach Holiday Park is in a completely different location, set to the east of Hythe, about mid-way between Folkestone and Dungeness on the south coast of Kent, near to St Mary’s Bay. This holiday park sits by a promenade and just a very short walk along the promenade to the sandy beach so if you want fresh sea air, a relaxing location plus some great facilities, New Beach Holiday Park is a great choice.
This is a great holiday park if you want to be really close to a nice beach and have all of the facilities, entertainment, dog friendly and be on a holiday park that is really tailored towards families. There are also a range of activities so if the weather is not that great, you can enjoy pottery, archery, segway hire, Dino Karts, family entertainment and live stage shows, some of these are chargeable but you always have the option to do something with your family here.
The facilities are great as you would expect from a Park Holidays Park with an indoor heated pool with extra activities like water walkers and sea scooters, amusement arcade and adventure playground and it is all really modern with a recent major investment in the facilities. Harts Holiday Park is situated on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent in Leysdown-on-Sea, near to Shellness beach and the site sits right by Leysdown beach. Harts Holiday Park if you want a holiday park that has all of the facilities but in a tranquil location, the park is surrounded by fields and the sea so the atmosphere is really relaxing and quiet.
The park has a new swimming pool and a refurbished club house with entertainment and all of the standard facilities that you would expect from a Park Holidays site. The location offers an alternative though to other parks with the Isle of Sheppey to explore and more places to visit on the mainland. The Elmley National Nature reserve and The Swale National Nature reserve are both ideal if you want to see some beautiful scenery, great walks and bird life and the whole area is serene and quiet, a great break if you want a park with the facilities and peace on hand.

Allhallows Holiday Park in Rochester Kent is, in our opinion, one of the best holiday parks in Kent. A family friendly holiday park which has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools to keep the whole family entertained and perfect if the Great British weather lets you down. There are many activities to keep you all entertained at Allhallows holiday park including fishing, tennis, minigolf, climbing wall, play areas and a Mini Aerial Adventure course!
If you fancy a day exploring the local area there are plenty of places to visit. Take a trip to Upnor Castle, an impressive Elizabethan fort by a riverside village. Or Rochester Castle, one of the UK’s outstanding pieces of Norman Romanesque architecture, Rochester Castle guards the London Road from its mound beside the River Medway. Not forgetting Rochester Cathedral, the cathedral has been a place of worship since the 7th century, but the current building dates mostly from the 12 and 13th centuries.
Allhallows is a Haven holiday park and it is located close to the coast, the closest beach is dog friendly and the beach is situated on the northern edge of the Hoo Peninsula in Kent over-looking the River Thames estuary.
