There are no firm figures on the number of anglers in the UK, estimates vary from around 700 000 to 2 million, that is a lot of people and as a keen fisherman myself, I love the peace and tranquility, the de-stressing and the skill of coarse fishing. There are lots of holiday parks with fishing lakes in the UK, some are really good and some are ok-ish, it all depends on what you want to catch.
We have a selection of 16 holiday parks here with good fishing on site, some have very decent sized carp for example and some are more for those that just want to catch a fish, silvers as they are known, and have a bit of fun. These are not holiday parks that are set up specifically for experienced monster carp chasers, more for those that want family friendly facilities, good accommodation and where fishing is part of the holiday experience and we have 16 top caravan parks with fishing lakes for caravan fishing holidays here.

Trelawne Manor Holiday Park in Cornwall offers a range of fishing facilities, including a well-stocked coarse fishing lake, a carp lake, a river and sea fishing nearby. Near Dawlish, South Devon
Fishing at Cofton Holiday Park near Dawlish in Devon is outstanding. The park has four well-stocked fishing lakes, with carp, roach, tench, bream, rudd, and perch. Fishing is free for holiday guests at Cofton Holidays and there is a tackle shop on-site for bait and tackle. This is a great holiday park near the beaches and has a specimen lake with carp up to 30lb and a match lake which is ideal for beginners. The park is in a beautiful location, Dawlish is a short drive away and has a family friendly sandy beach and the city of Exeter is nearby.

Near Weymouth, Dorset
Warmwell Holiday Park has two lakes, Heron and Kingfisher with 14 swims on Kingfisher and 16 on Heron so you need to book your swim in. The lakes are well stocked with decent sized carp, the Facebook page for Warmwell Fisheries is actually a great source of information and has some great images of good carp being caught! Heron has the biggest carp and Kingfisher have some very good sized Perch if you like to go after the Perch monsters. Day tickets are available and you need to book directly for a day’s fishing, the contact number is 01305 854216. The holiday park is pretty amazing as well so if you want a fishing holiday near the coast for the family with great facilities, this is a good shout. They even have a 110m dry ski slope, how amazing is that!

At Allhallows Holiday Park in Kent, you can enjoy a variety of fishing activities, including sea fishing and coarse fishing. Sea fishing can be enjoyed directly from the park’s beach, while coarse fishing is available at the newly reopened Allhallows Fishery, located on the site. Forton, Preston Lancashire
Bowland Lakes Leisure Village is lucky enough to have several lakes and ponds around the park so there is something for everyone here. If match fishing is your choice, the Canal is great, a decent sized 40 peg lake with carp to 20lb and a wide variety of other fish including a few barbell and chub along with bream, tench, roach and perch. The Swanbrook lake is a two acre lake with a similar fish stock plus koi and grass carp. This is a really tranquil park, getting back to nature, really relaxing with some very nice holiday lodges that are well spaced out.

South Lakeland Leisure Village has the benefit of its own lake plus an additional four lakes at Borwick Lakes, so you get the benefit of fishing on two parks close by. The fishing here is free as well if you are staying on holiday here and there are a variety of fish here but this is really a pike lake so if you love a bit of pike fishing, this is your best choice!

Tattershall, Lincolnshire
Tattershall Lakes Country Park is one of the most popular parks in the country, a fantastic holiday park centred around the lakes with a wide range of activities to keep all of the family entertained. If you want to go on a fishing holiday and keep the family entertained, Tattershall Lakes Country Park is well worth a look. They have three lakes with a variety of fish, the main fishing lake holds the biggest fish with carp to 32lb and good sized tench to 8lbs. Rudd Lake also holds a decent head of fish as well with some decent sized perch and bream as well as tench, pike and carp to good sizes. You can also book accommodation with your own peg and the lodges here are great.

Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire
Golden Sands Holiday Park is in a great location at Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire with all of the facilities including an indoor and outdoor pool, entertainment and even an adventure village. Like Tattershall, this is a great holiday park if you want to go fishing but need somewhere to keep the rest of the family entertained. There are two lakes on the park with a total of 34 swims and include carp, bream, roach and tench. The ponds are very well stocked so you shouldn’t have any problems catching fish.

Skegness, Lincolnshire
There are several fishing lakes at Southview Holiday Park but the best lake for fishing is Cedar Lake. The lake holds a very good head of fish, mainly fished for carp ranging from smaller sizes up to 16lbs. It is a good holiday park lake, not for those looking to catch a specimen but you are guaranteed to catch plenty of fish and there are a lot of roach in there as well. This is a big Parkdean holiday park with all of the entertainment and facilities, a great place if you want to combine a spot of fishing with a family holidays and a good lake for teaching your kids.

Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire
Thorpe Park Holiday Centre is yet another great holiday park in Lincolnshire that offers good coarse fishing, there are many more as well. There are two main fishing lakes at Thorpe Park Holiday Centre and they have were restocked with bream and carp in 2020 and also hold perch. We have seen unverified pictures of decent sized carp at the park, probably just into double figures. Again, another big park where fishing is just a part of the experience.

Nene Valley, Northamptonshire
Billing Aquadrome is centred around lakes, there are lots of them but only three are available for fishing with other activities on the other lakes to preserve the wildlife. Billing Aquadrome is well known for its fishing holidays, located in Northamptonshire so really easy for many to get away for a break and also has lots going on around the site. Lots of different carp species are here to good sizes along with tench, pike, roach bream and rudd. They have their own tackle shop and the staff are really friendly and helpful, a top inland fishing holiday park that has been around for many years and is always a favourite.

Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset
Burnham-on-Sea Holiday Park is a large Haven holiday park with two fishing lakes including a match lake and a coarse lake. There is loads to do on the park for all of the family, indoor and outdoor pool plus entertainment as you would expect from one of the largest Haven holiday resorts and Burnham-on-Sea has loads going on! The fishing here is pretty good with carp to 30lb and some very good sized tench and pretty big bream, there are also very good sized pike in the specimen lake as well. The lakes do have good fish in them but they are not always the easiest to fish with plenty of features around, it does not always make it simple. These are not cast and pull in a fish lakes, they need some decent skill to get a good fish out.

Chichester, Sussex
Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park in Sussex is one of the top holiday parks for fishing with a total of 10 lakes around the park, a new entertainment venue, heated indoor pool with splash zone, beautiful decking area overlooking the lake. This is a fisherman’s paradise with 7 lakes available to fish from for a day ticket holder and really good fish here. There are big carp in the Triangle, Copse and East Lake with the West Lake holding the biggest fish. Some very decent sized pike here as well as tench to 10lb. If you love your fishing, this is a brilliant holiday park given the variety of lakes and fish available, something for everyone, tickets must be bought through fishingticket.com and a carp care kit is required if you are carp fishing. This is probably our top large holiday park for fishing in the UK, there are some monster carp here!

Near York
Goosewood Holiday Park near York is great if you want easy fishing, ideal for beginners, you will definitely catch some fish. They have improved the fishing, removing a lot of the smaller fish so that the bigger fish can grown more and the carp now are growing to a decent size. It is a private park and many of the lodges are lakeside so no need for a big trek, you can fish from your own doorstep if you get the right lodge. There is an indoor swimming pool and a bar complex on site, not the biggest park, more personal attention though than you may get with some of the larger parks. Ideal if you just want to enjoy a spot of fishing knowing that you will definitely catch something.
