Lincolnshire has long been a favoured holiday destination and has some outstanding holiday parks with all of the facilities that you will need. By some quirk, it is also home to a great range of holiday parks with lakes that offer coarse fishing and there are several with good golf courses. Tattershall, Lincolnshire
Tattershall Lakes Country Park is by any stretch of the imagination, stunning, one of the most popular holiday parks in Lincolnshire and the winner of our best Away Resorts holiday parks. The holiday park is set around a group of 7 lakes with fishing and specialist lakes as well as a water ski lake and a jet ski lake. The park is inland near RAF Coningsby in between Lincoln, Sleaford and Skegness so there are plenty of places to visit outside of the park.
Tattershall Lakes Country Park is best known for its lakes, the fun activities and course fishing, this is a big holiday park with a lot on and some great facilities. We love the Giggling Goose, a stunning cocktail bar for over 18’s only serving cocktails and specialist gins. The new outdoor pool is beautiful, really well thought out and a great place to catch some sun. The new Spiegelent offers entertainment through the autumn to Christmas and there are loads of other alternatives such as the Spitfire Bar which is great for watching sports, the Bar 49 for a rooftop cocktail and the Propeller Bar with evening entertainment and food. Just a small sample really of what to expect, we haven’t even mentioned the indoor pool and splashzone, the high ropes course and the new zip wire, the list goes on and on, it is amazing, enjoy!

Chapel St. Leonards, Lincolnshire
The Golden Palm Resort in Chapel St. Leonards near to Skegness, just to the north of Ingoldmells and is a very large holiday park and the entertainment venue has the capacity to seat 2000 people, it is big and a traditional large holiday park that really sets itself out as a one stop location to keep you and your family busy.
The beach is great, mainly sand with dunes and a promenade behind the beach and is mainly dog friendly all year around with one restricted central area. This town has several large holiday parks and is completely dominated by tourism so there are plenty of things to do, pubs, places to eat and shops.
The Golden Palm Resort is a holiday park in Lincolnshire with everything including a large swimming pool with flumes, fountains and a splash pool. The traditional and rather huge Golden Palms arcade is jam packed with everything from pool tables, bingo, video games and cash prize games. There is even a shopping complex where and a supermarket, fish and chips, Chinese, pizzas and more. The Club Tropicana is the entertainment venue with a range of acts including top stars and the in house entertainment team. It’s big and bold and very traditional, if you like big parks with top entertainment by a beautiful beach, have a look at Golden Palm Resort in Chapel St. Leonards in Lincolnshire.

Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire
Thorpe Park Holiday Centre offers the facilities of a large park but in an alternative location. Thorpe Park Holiday Centre is in Cleethropes furth north up the coast compared to Skegness so should be easier to get to for those travelling from the north. The park is set by the side of the beach and has some fantastic facilities. During the summer months, you can enjoy the outdoor aqua area with a space bowl flume and a lazy river. There is of course and indoor pool open and it is big.
There is plenty more on offer at Thorpe Park Holiday Centre in Cleethropes including the new ariel adventure max where you can test your fear of heights, or your bravery! There is a climbing wall and the jump if that isn’t enough. Try your hand at fishing in the lakes, den building or fire lighting, archery or enjoy the nine hole golf course. After a full day out, enjoy a meal at the Carousel or a quick burger from Burger King or Papa John’s and of course there is evening entertainment. The park backs on to Fitties Beach of Humberston Fitties as it is also known, a beautiful sandy beach backed by dunes and is also dog friendly. Thorpe Park is a large park in an alternative location to the Skegness area, one to consider for some!

Near Alford, Lincolnshire
Woodthorpe Leisure Park offers a great alternative to the other parks if you are looking for something more sedate and tranquil. The park is set in 45 acres and has well stocked fishing lakes and an 18 hole golf course. The park is set in a tranquil area with a garden centre over the road and is a relatively short drive to Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe so you can enjoy a day by the beach but be based on a quiet and very pretty holiday park.
Woodthorpe Leisure Park is set in the Lincolnshire Wolds and is very spacious, it offers static caravans, lodges, pods with hot tubs, holiday cottages and well-spaced out touring pitches. In fact, everything is really well spaced out so you don’t feel like you are on top of each other. The golf course is really good as well, pretty flat so ideal if you are not the best golfer but challenging as well with nice greens. If you want a holiday park that is quiet, near to the coast and has fishing, golf, dog friendly and a range of accommodation, Woodthorpe Leisure Park near Alford in Lincolnshire is worth a look!

Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire
Grange Leisure Park is in the Lincolnshire Aqua park on the coat in Mablethorpe, a short drive to the town centre and Mablethorpe beach. It is a bit of a mix of everything really, near to a busy tourist town and a great beach, 5 well stocked course fishing lakes, a refurbished leisure and entertainment complex and a 9 hole golf course, it has something for everyone and is probably best known as a destination for a fishing holiday.
There is more to Grange Leisure Park than just fishing, it is also home to the Lincolnshire Aqua Park with 8 different inflatable obstacles to overcome on the lake and a range of other water based activities that will really test your fitness. We love these kinds of activities, they offer an alternative and a new adventure in life. The is evening entertainment at the show bar and the badgers Bar also offers food and drinks at really great prices. We think this park is great if you love golf or fishing or both and have kids that want to have some fun!
