There are lots of holiday parks in the Lake District with static caravans for sale, pretty much something for everyone although technically, a lot of parks are not actually within the boundaries of the Lake District National Park. That means researching to find the perfect park for your needs is a bit more difficult.

This is a complete cross between the other two parks, it is dog friendly and as a Haven park, it has all of the facilities that you would expect. So you get a great location, great facilities, evening entertainment and a great range of static caravans for sale on your Lake District holiday park.
Because it is on a Haven caravan site, you can also sub-let your caravan and these parks tend to be very popular, so you also can make a better return, especially from out of season bookings where the real profit is made! The park has everything as well including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, the large entertainment venue, the Lakeside Bay Restaurant and we really love the water sports centre as well! So when it comes down to it, Lakeland Leisure Park would be definitely worth researching if you are looking to buy a static caravan on site on a Lake District Holiday Park.

Skiddaw View Holiday Park is at the opposite end of the Lake District near Bassenthwaite Lake and Cockermouth and we thought that we would offer a great alternative to the holiday parks in the south of the Lake District. We love Skiddaw View Holiday Park because there is a lot to love. This is an independent park, simplistic in its nature and not the place if you want every facility under the sun with entertainment, a place where you can re-charge, unwind and really enjoy what the local area has to offer.
We think that Skiddaw View Holiday Park really stands out as a quality park, it is pristine in the presentation of the park, every element is well thought out. They have made the most of the natural landscape to maximise the position of each pitch so that views from as many of the caravans for sale are optimised. This is a real thought process, to get the very best out of a location for someone looking to buy a static caravan in the Lake District. How many holiday parks do that, not many across the country! There is a herb garden (wonderful idea), recycling points and a dog play area as well. Skiddaw View Holiday Park is a great example of where independent holiday parks offer you something better or different than the big chains!

South Lakeland Leisure Village definitely gets a very big nod if you are looking to buy a static caravan on a holiday park in the Lake District. Ok, it isn’t technically in the Lake District, but it is very close and in a great location to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland as well, Morecambe is also nearby! The park has grown and developed and a large number of the lodges at South Lakeland Leisure Village are privately owned.
You can sub let your lodge at South Lakeland Leisure Village and a lot of the owners actually sub let through alternative sources to maximise their income so there are plenty of options to get a return on your income. The park is really popular, it is easy to access from the M6 and that makes the journey easy and sub letting easy. There is a very well developed owners only community on the park so you can join in established events and get some great advice. Overall, the park speaks for itself, great facilities and the large number of privately owned lodges means that they must be doing a good job! Probably the best option if you are looking for a large holiday park with holiday homes for sale in the Lake District in all honesty!

Limefitt Park Holiday Park is a Parkdean Resorts holiday park but a little bit different from most of their holiday parks, hence why we chose it! Limefitt Park Holiday Park is easily accessed from Windermere, a very short drive down to the lake and sits in a small valley formed by Trout Beck. This is a really peaceful holiday park in a beautiful location but just a short drive down to Windermere with all of the attractions and activities.
As a Parkdean holiday park, you get a trusted partner if you are looking to buy a caravan on a holiday park. This is not the all signing and dancing typical Parkdean Resort park though, far more peaceful and tranquil and also is dog friendly. The Haybarn Inn is the on site pub (no entertainment venue which is good for some) and offers pub style relaxation with great food and drinks and a nice beer garden to boot. There is an adventure playground on site and a games room and a small on site shop. The atmosphere is relaxed, you can even go horse riding, it is just a little bit different and a great option if you are looking to buy a static caravan in the Lake District close enough to the lakes, but with a good dose of tranquillity as well!
