Holiday Parks in Grange-Over-Sands

Grange-over-Sands is not in the Lake District but set to the south, once a thriving seaside resort although there is no beach as such, mainly marsh land but with a promenade offering views. There are several holiday parks and campsites in Grange-over-Sands and the surrounding area, notably very popular as it is only 7 miles to Lake Windermere and the sea views over to Morecambe Bay here are great.

The location is the main draw with many places to explore like the south of the Lake District and the Lakeland Motor Museum nearby. Take a day out and visit Kendal which has great shopping and a spot of mint cake or visit nearby Coniston Water or Lake Windermere. Take a trip around the River Leve and visit Ulverston or venture further afield and take a walk up Scafell Pike and enjoy the great views over the whole of the Lake district.
 
There is one large holiday park in the Grange-over-Sands area at Flookburgh that is abased around a lake and has lots of water based activities plus indoor and outdoor pools. There are several other caravan parks and lodge parks in Grange-over-Sands, several are owners only and a small selection of campsites and touring parks around Grange-over-Sands.
