Two bedroom cottages and lodges generally sleep four people in one double or king size bedroom and one twin room. Many have two bathrooms, open plan living space, a dishwasher and private decking. Selected choices also include an outdoor hot tub.

Places to Visit Near Whitbarrow Holiday Park

Whitbarrow is well placed for exploring the lakes, fells and visitor attractions of the northern Lake District. Ullswater and Derwentwater are both within a comfortable drive, while the A66 provides direct access towards Penrith and Keswick.

Aira Force is one of the area’s best known waterfalls. Woodland paths follow Aira Beck towards the main waterfall, with longer routes continuing onto Gowbarrow Fell or beside Ullswater.

Visitors can take an Ullswater Steamer from Pooley Bridge or Glenridding. Cruise options range from shorter sailings to longer journeys between the main piers, with views of the surrounding fells.

Rheged near Penrith is particularly useful for a wet weather day. It has a large screen cinema, art exhibitions, cafés, shops, workshops and an indoor play area for younger children.
