Most of the accommodation has two bedrooms and sleeps four guests. The standard arrangement combines a principal double bedroom with a twin bedroom, although a small number of lodges have two double bedrooms. Selected twin beds can also be arranged as a second double when requested in advance.

Many lodges provide two shower rooms or an ensuite shower room and a separate family bathroom. Baths are available with selected accommodation, so families with younger children or guests who prefer a bath should check the bathroom specification before booking.

Ullswater begins approximately four and a half miles away. Pooley Bridge provides access to the northern end of the lake, with cruises operated by Ullswater Steamers between Pooley Bridge, Howtown and Glenridding.

Aira Force can normally be reached in approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Woodland paths lead to the waterfall, with longer routes continuing through Gowbarrow Park and towards the Ullswater Way.
