Harbour Lights provides several ways to stay beside the Cumbrian coast, ranging from self contained pods and larger holiday accommodation to traditional glamping, touring and camping.

The luxury self contained pod range sleeps up to four guests. These pods have a main bedroom or sleeping area, sofa bed, private shower room, fitted kitchen and living space. Private decking with outdoor seating provides space to enjoy views across the park and surrounding countryside.

The S Pods have a king size bed and sofa bed, together with a kitchen, lounge and full size shower room. Their layout provides separate sleeping and living areas within compact self contained accommodation.

The Mega Pods also sleep up to four and have a double bed with additional sofa bed accommodation. Each includes a kitchen, dining table, shower room, underfloor heating, private decking and a firepit.

Traditional glamping pods provide accommodation for either two or four guests. Each pod has heating, electricity, lighting, a kettle, sockets and a firepit. Guests bring their own bedding and use the nearby family shower rooms and washing facilities.

The three bedroom holiday lodge sleeps up to six. It has a double bedroom, two twin bedrooms, an open plan lounge and dining area, a kitchen, shower room, two toilets and private decking. Parking and a grassed outdoor area are provided beside the accommodation.

Places to Visit Near Harbour Lights

Haverigg Beach is approximately 50 yards from Harbour Lights. Its long shoreline has sand, shingle and dunes, with views across the Duddon Estuary and towards the surrounding fells. Dogs are welcomed on the beach, making it useful for walks throughout a stay.

Haverigg village is within walking distance and has places to eat, pubs and local services. Routes from the village follow the shoreline and sea wall towards the Hodbarrow lagoon.

Hodbarrow Nature Reserve is approximately five minutes away by car and can also be reached as part of a longer walk. The former iron mining site is now a coastal lagoon and grassland reserve where visitors may see terns, ringed plovers, redshanks, oystercatchers and great crested grebes.

Millom is approximately five to ten minutes away and provides supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, takeaways and railway connections. The town’s history is closely connected with iron mining and the landscape around Hodbarrow.

Silecroft Beach is approximately 15 minutes away. Its sandy shoreline stretches for around three miles and has views towards Black Combe, with parking, toilets and light refreshments available beside the beach.

Black Combe provides fell walking above the Cumbrian coast. Routes to the summit offer wide views across the Duddon Estuary, Irish Sea and the western Lake District.

Muncaster Castle is approximately 30 minutes away. Visitors can explore the historic castle, gardens, Hawk and Owl Centre, play areas and seasonal activities.

The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is also approximately 30 minutes from the park. Its narrow gauge trains travel for seven miles from Ravenglass through the Eskdale countryside to Dalegarth for Boot.
