Overview of Delamere Forest Lodge Park

Delamere Forest Lodge Park is located around 1 mile from Oakmere village in Cheshire and approximately 6 miles east of Chester, with access from the A556. Entry into the park is via a single access road leading onto internal tarmac roads that loop through the site without connecting through, keeping vehicle movement low, you can view more lodge parks in Cheshire here.

The park sits to the north west side of Delamere Forest. Main forest access points and car parks are around 1 to 2 miles away, with most routes reached within a 3 to 5 minute drive. These access points lead directly into established walking and cycling trails across more than 2,400 acres, including routes towards Blakemere Moss and central forest tracks.

The site is lodge based, with units arranged along short curved roads rather than straight rows. Plots are set on level ground with visible gaps between units, and several back onto tree lines or open sections of land rather than neighbouring lodges. There are no fenced boundaries between most plots, relying instead on spacing and natural screening.

Lodges are positioned at slight angles to internal roads, reducing direct front facing alignment between units. Decking areas are typically set to the side or rear, facing tree cover or quieter parts of the park rather than access roads. This layout limits overlooking and increases usable outdoor space.

Blakemere Village is around 2 miles from the park and includes cafés, shops and activity spaces. Delamere railway station is also around 2 miles away, with direct services between Chester and Manchester. Road access from the park connects quickly back to the A556, allowing direct travel towards Northwich, Chester and the wider Cheshire area.

There are no on site entertainment facilities or clubhouse. The park functions as a base for access into Delamere Forest and surrounding areas rather than as a self contained destination.

Couples will love the extra wide bath and the egg sharing seats within the Golden Oak Hideaway cabin. Whilst larger families can enjoy the uniqueness of the Golden Oak Treehouse complete with its private rope bridge to access one of the five bedrooms it has.
