Newlands Holiday Park offers lodges, caravans, apartments, motel rooms and camping pods, alongside touring, motorhome and tent pitches. This range provides choices for overnight stays, short breaks and longer family holidays near Charmouth Beach.

The detached lodges sleep up to six guests. Most have a main bedroom with an ensuite shower room and two further bedrooms, although one current layout has two bedrooms and a sofa bed. Lodges include an open plan lounge, dining area, kitchen and outdoor decking with furniture.

Lodge kitchens generally include a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer. Bed linen, towels, water and electricity are provided, and each lodge has its own WiFi router. A family swim pass for the leisure centre or outdoor pool is also included with current lodge stays.

The caravans have two bedrooms and a sofa bed, providing accommodation for up to six. They include a lounge, kitchen, heating, television and outdoor seating, with selected choices also offering a veranda or ensuite facilities. Bed linen is supplied, although guests staying in caravans need to bring their own towels and tea towels.

Studio and poolside apartments sleep between three and four guests. They have kitchen facilities, private shower rooms, living space and bed linen and towels. A selected ground floor apartment has wider doors and a shower rail for visitors who need easier access.

Motel rooms are available for individuals, couples and families of up to four. These provide ensuite facilities, television and tea and coffee making equipment, with bed linen and towels included. They are positioned above the main leisure and entertainment complex.

The four wooden camping pods each sleep up to four guests. Pods have two single beds and a double bed, electricity, lighting, sockets, a small heater, porch and picnic bench. Guests bring their own bedding and towels and use the shared camping washrooms.

Touring and motorhome pitches include non electric, grass electric, hardstanding and fully serviced choices. Tent camping is available on grass pitches with non electric, 10 amp electric and fully serviced options. 

Accommodation Choices at Newlands Holiday Park

Selected caravans and one lodge accept dogs. Visitors should choose accommodation specifically identified as pet friendly and include their dogs when booking.

Parking is provided directly beside the caravans and camping pods. Lodge parking can be immediately outside, at the end of the lodge row or in the main car park, depending on the accommodation position.

The park is built on a hillside. Lodges and caravans have entrance steps, while most accommodation is unsuitable for wheelchair manoeuvring.

Park Facilities at Newlands Holiday Park

Newlands Leisure Centre provides indoor and outdoor swimming. The indoor heated pool is open throughout much of the year and is booked in timed sessions, allowing families and couples to swim whatever the weather.

The outdoor pool has a poolside area with sun loungers and operates according to the park’s seasonal timetable. Beside it, the shallow children’s splash zone has water sprays, interactive toys and colourful play equipment for babies and younger children.

The leisure area also includes a sauna and shared hot tub. Adult guests can use the mini gym, which contains a treadmill, rowing machine, weights, bench and cable exercise equipment. Swimming and gym sessions are booked or paid for separately where applicable.

The Tow Bar, Restaurant and Lounge serves home cooked meals using local ingredients. Menus include breakfast, lighter lunches, evening meals, children’s choices, vegetarian and vegan dishes, takeaway food and a Sunday carvery. The lounge, dog friendly conservatory and outdoor patio provide several seating areas.

Children can use Dino Dan’s Den indoor soft play area and the Game Zone, which contains arcade games and air hockey. Outside, the adventure playground includes climbing equipment, slides, swings and a zip wire. A separate toddler play space and recreation field provide further room for play and family games.

The onsite SPAR shop sells groceries, freshly baked bread and pastries, sandwiches, newspapers, drinks, souvenirs and camping supplies. Preorders are available for selected bakery items.

Places to Visit Near Newlands Holiday Park

Charmouth village and beach are approximately a 15 minute walk from Newlands. The beach is known for fossils exposed by the cliffs between Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Visitors should search within loose beach material and avoid digging into the cliffs.

The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre stands beside the beach and has free exhibitions about fossils, geology and the Jurassic Coast. Guided fossil hunting walks are available on selected dates and provide advice on where and how to search safely.

Lyme Regis is approximately three miles away. Visitors can explore the seafront, beaches, harbour and Cobb, alongside Lyme Regis Museum, Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, independent shops and places to eat.
