Bowleaze Cove gives guests two different styles of coastal holiday within a small area. The cove immediately outside the park is convenient for walks, watersports and time beside the sea, while Weymouth's traditional sandy beach and Georgian seafront are approximately 2.2 miles away.

The South West Coast Path passes the area and heads east towards Osmington, giving walkers a way to explore the Jurassic Coast directly from Bowleaze Cove. Jordan Hill, above the cove, is also home to the remains of a Romano Celtic temple.

For families, Weymouth SEA LIFE and Lodmoor Country Park are approximately 1.3 miles away. Weymouth itself adds the sandy beach, harbour, shops, restaurants, boat trips and Nothe Fort.

Longer days out can follow the Jurassic Coast east towards Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, two of Dorset's best known coastal landmarks. Portland and Chesil Beach can also be reached by travelling through Weymouth towards the western side of the bay.
