Alberta Holiday Park has an outdoor heated swimming pool that is perfect even on chillier days. The pool is great for the whole family as it has a shallow children’s splash pool and seating around the edge of the pool where you can watch or enjoy the sun. The outdoor play park features swings, a slide, climbing apparatus and a space perfect for young children to run around. The amusement arcade has a variety of modern and classic games which will keep children of all ages entertained.
The family friendly club house serves food and drinks, guests can also enjoy watching live sporting events on Sky and BT Sports. Places to Visit Near Alberta Holiday Park
A visit to Canterbury Cathedral which is approximately a 20-minute drive from Alberta Holiday Park is a must, it features gothic architecture, beautiful stone work and stunning stained glass windows. You can view various parts of the cathedral such as the Quire, the Crypt, and the Cloisters. The grounds are beautiful and feature enclosed gardens for you to enjoy and explore. Children will enjoy the kid’s trail, discovery guides and free exhibitions. The Lounge at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge provides refreshments for you to sit back and make a day of it.
Less than a 10 minute from Alberta Holiday Park is Druidstone Park. Druidstone Park is a lovely country park where you can enjoy scenic walks within the woodland, enjoy a picnic, children can play in the outdoor play area or visit the farm animals. Visit the sheep, alpacas, donkeys, goats, cows and pigs. A lovely day out where young children will love exploring and playing in wonderful woodland.
Approximately a 25-minute drive from Alberta Holiday Park is Howletts Wild Animal Park. This Wildlife Sanctuary is home to nearly 400 animals which include a heard of African elephants, giant anteaters, gorillas, leopards and monkeys. You can join in on the free animal talks, watch the animals being fed and visit the education centre. There is a café and restaurant offering locally sourced sandwiches, cakes and coffee. This is a great fun day out for the whole family.
