Caistor Lakes Lodges is an adults only lodge retreat set around three fishing lakes near Caistor in the Lincolnshire Wolds. The small park occupies approximately seven acres of countryside and combines lakeside accommodation, private hot tubs, fishing and an on site restaurant.

The park has 16 lodges positioned around Arthur’s Pool, Heron Pool and Foundry Pool. Every lodge has private decking and its own hot tub, while selected accommodation welcomes dogs. Some lodges allow guests to fish directly from the decking or provide access to a private fishing peg.

Caistor Lakes is particularly popular with couples, friends and anglers looking for a quieter lodge holiday. The peaceful setting is supported by practical facilities including free WiFi, parking close to the accommodation and The Ugly Duckling Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and evening meals.

Accommodation at Caistor Lakes Lodges

Caistor Lakes offers a small collection of two bedroom lakeside lodges designed primarily for couples and groups of up to four adults.

The accommodation generally has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, two bedrooms and one or two bathrooms. Several lodges have two double bedrooms, making them ideal for two couples travelling together. Kitchens include the principal appliances and equipment needed for a self catering stay.

Every lodge has private outdoor decking and its own covered hot tub. Outdoor furniture provides space for meals and drinks beside the water, while large windows and patio doors make the most of the lakeside setting.

Fishing arrangements vary between lodges. Some accommodation extends over the water and allows fishing directly from the decking. Other lodges have a reserved peg nearby, while several provide lake views without fishing immediately outside the accommodation.

Selected lodges welcome dogs and include pet friendly arrival treats. Free WiFi, towels, robes, smart televisions and parking are provided, although exact appliances, bedroom layouts and fishing access vary between lodges.

Guests with mobility requirements should check the property carefully because the lodges have steps leading to the decking and entrance.

Park Facilities at Caistor Lakes

Caistor Lakes is centred around three stocked fishing lakes, its lakeside lodges, touring park and restaurant.

Arthur’s Pool is the largest and most challenging of the three lakes, with carp and other coarse fish. Fishing on this lake is reserved for guests staying in designated Arthur’s Pool fishing lodges.

Heron Pool offers mixed coarse fishing in a relaxed setting. Three lodges provide direct fishing from their decking, while other guests can purchase day fishing where availability allows.

Foundry Pool contains a broad mixture of species and has accessible permanent fishing pegs. Selected lodges provide direct fishing or their own reserved peg beside this lake. Anglers need a valid Environment Agency rod licence and must follow the rules for the lake they use.

The Ugly Duckling Restaurant is open throughout the week for breakfast, lunch and evening meals, with Sunday lunches and afternoon tea also available. A dog friendly dining section can be requested when reserving a table.

Touring facilities include hardstanding pitches, electric hook up, showers, toilets, water points and grass space for awnings. WiFi and parking are also available throughout the park.

Places to Visit Near Caistor Lakes

Caistor Lakes is positioned on the edge of Caistor, a historic market town in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Visitors can explore the market place, Roman remains, St Peter and St Paul’s Church and the Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre.

The Viking Way passes through Caistor and provides access to the rolling countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Shorter local walks can be combined with longer routes through nearby villages and farmland.

Market Rasen is approximately 15 minutes away and has shops, places to eat and a racecourse with fixtures throughout the year. The town also provides access to woodland trails and outdoor activities around the western Wolds.

Cleethorpes can normally be reached in approximately 30 minutes. Its sandy beach, promenade, boating lake and places to eat provide a coastal day out, while nearby Grimsby has shops and the Fishing Heritage Centre.

Lincoln is approximately 40 minutes away and has a cathedral, castle, independent shops and the historic streets around Cathedral Quarter. Louth provides another attractive market town, with independent shops and easy access to the eastern Lincolnshire Wolds.

The location is ideal for combining quiet time beside the lakes with walking, heritage, market towns and occasional trips to the Lincolnshire coast.
