Days out near to Bockenfield Country Holiday Park

This area of Northumberland offers walkers a great and varied range of walks to get excited about. These include coastal walks and can include dog friendly beach walks such as a walk alongside of the historic Bamburgh Castle whilst taking in the fantastic sea views and wandering along the golden sands. There’s both riverside and forest nearby walks and you can even walk alongside the historical Hadrian’s Wall.

Hadrian’s Wall also offers hardcore cyclists a long and scenic cycle route which takes in the fantastic scenery along the way. However, if you’re travelling with younger children, it may well be that they may prefer shorter and easier cycling routes such as a visit to the Kielder Water & Forest Park. Where it is also possible to hire bikes.

Near to the park is the Burgham Park Golf Club, or for something a touch different head to the Metro Centre near Newcastle for some indoor golf. A visit there also offers the opportunity for many hours of shopping with many retailers such as Lacoste, Lego and Boss all there. There's also plenty of places to eat such as Frankie and Benny's, Pizza Hut and Nando's.
