On the shoreline of Loch Long, Ardgartan Argyll is surrounded by stunning scenery including dramatic mountainous landscapes, established forest ranges and of course the loch itself. It has several cabins, some of which benefit from the tranquil waterside views.

This is a pet friendly holiday park and is an ideal location for leisurely dog walks all over the surrounding area. It could be described as the perfect location with which to escape the pressures of modern-day life and experience nature and reconnect with family members and the local flora and fauna.

There’s so much to see and do locally, including a great many local walks, hiking and climbing possibilities. Theres also plenty of cycle routes to choose from both nearby and further afield depending on the age and ability of the people visiting this peaceful holiday park in the Argyll Forest Park. Perhaps getting out on the water on a kayak is preferable? Try wild swimming, paddleboarding, diving or fishing from the shores for a variety of species here including cod.

After a busy day it’s comforting to know that the park offers several styles of lodges to return to, all of which have private hot tubs. They range in size having a mix of 1-to-3-bedroom choices. Some of which have log burners and barbecues. The wheelchair adapted Silver Birch lodges benefit from having hot tub hoists, wet rooms and lowered kitchen facilities. Be sure to check out the Golden Oak Lochside cabins to really benefit from the splendid Lochside views.

There are several activities to participate in onsite including bug hunts, quiz nights and pottery painting. You can also book a spa treatment whist your there.
Theres an onsite shop and a bar and restaurant to relax in and enjoy great foods with family and friends.

Lodges at Ardgartan Argyll

Surrounded by forest, lochs and rivers Ardgartan Argyll offers visitors the choice of 40 log cabins to choose from. All of which have their own private hot tubs with some even featuring waterside views. There are many different features and facilities to choose from including pet friendly accommodation and those which have been wheelchair adapted.

There are four different styles of lodges to select from, although the Golden Oak and the Golden Oak Lochside are the same only with the latter having water views. Whilst the Silver Birch and the Wheelchair adapted Silver Birch again are the same only that the latter has been adapted for those looking for adapted accommodation. The website itself provides fantastic information including images, written information and floor plan layouts to help the selection process easy and informed.

If it’s the Lochside views which sound appealing then check out the Golden Oak Lochside, which includes a private hot tub, a log burner and outdoor living space. They can accommodate up to 6 guests in layouts of either 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. The one bedroom layout making it a perfect choice for couples looking for a romantic getaway whilst the three bedroom layout would suit families who need a touch more space.

The two bedroom Silver Birch would be a great choice for families travelling with younger children who don’t mind sharing a bedroom, whilst the adults can enjoy the benefits of an ensuite bathroom.

The Wheelchair adapted Silver Birch include features such as a wet room with a shower, lowered kitchen facilities and access to the cabin and outdoor living areas.

    Facilities at Ardgartan Argyll

    This is a peaceful and tranquil location and is suited to those who enjoy a restful break including a range of spa treatments brought to your own cabins. Food can be ordered from the bar and restaurant and either enjoyed in the company of others in the restaurant or terrace. Alternatively, it can be delivered to your own private cabin. There’s also a shop which sells the essential to make this a great escape.

    If you do wish to get out and about on two wheels there is bike hire available. Theres a choice of forest ranger activities available such as forest survival skills and wildlife wonders.

Things to do near Ardgartan Argyll

Being on the shores of Loch Long and near to Loch Lomond there is plenty to do locally. Enjoy exploring on foot through the local forests, climbing nearby hills and mountains. Challenge yourself to family bike rides through the Argyll Forest Park. Such as the Ardgartan Coilessan Glen Loop.

Take a cruise on the waters of Loch Lomond. Head out on a 4 x 4 guided off road with 4 X 4 adventures, Scotland. Visit the beautiful Invernaid Waterfall or get active and adventurous with Loch Lomond Leisure and select from their choice of activities including stand up paddle boarding and boat fishing to name a few.

Young children can have fun and learn at the nearby Fyne Den, whilst the parents might choose to check out a few golf courses in the area such as Loch Lomond Golf Club known for its fine views.
