Overview of Eyemouth Holiday Park

Eyemouth Holiday Park is located just over the Scottish/ English border and enjoys an idyllic coastal location which benefits from sea views. Named after the nearby and natural harbourside town of Eyemouth. A short walk from the holiday park itself will bring you to its long-established and still to this day working fishing harbour and the sandy beach where children will love to play and discover the crabs and other marine life which remain at low tide in the many rock pools. The holiday park is surrounded by coastal views and paths with which to head out and explore the local area, and after doing so this Parkdean resort has everything to help you relax after each day’s adventuring.

It has accommodation choices including dog friendly 2 and 3 bedroom caravan and lodge holiday homes. All of which have double glazing and central heating. Whilst other features are optional depending upon your requirements and budget such as those which are extra wide holiday homes, or those which have ensuite facilities and are accessible units. There’s also the option of choosing a touring pitch if you prefer to arrive with your own accommodation. However, you decide to stay, feel free to bring your dog along for the ride as this is a dog friendly holiday park.

This holiday park offers excellent facilities and activities ranging from an indoor amusement arcade and games room. There’s a range of kid’s clubs and a multi sports court. There's also access to the very local swimming pool, which is only a few minutes’ walk from the holiday park. Theres a coffee shop, a bar and restaurant. With an entertainment venue which hosts a variety of entertainment at certain times of the week and year.

Locally there’s much to do with visits across the border to nearby Berwick on Tweed, which is only 3 miles south of the Scottish border and known for its two sandy beaches, relaxing riverside walks and historic buildings to explore. Such as the Royal Border Bridge and Bamburgh castle. There's the Eyemouth golf club, horse riding tours and wildlife to spot out at sea. Take a trip along the coastline with Eyemouth RIB Trips or head into Edinburgh on the bus. For a day of exciting sightseeing, lots of shopping and some good food.

Accommodation at Eyemouth Holiday Park

There are several accommodation choices at Eyemouth holiday park including caravan and lodge holiday homes all of which include features such as heating and double glazing and furnished kitchens as standard. They range in size and layouts, being suitable for 2  through to 8 visiting guests with roughly a third of these being pet friendly accommodation. Four of the units offer outdoor living areas offering the luxury of extending living and dining space whilst on holiday here. There are also accessible units both of which have wet rooms and sleep up to 6 guests. Currently there are also 3 lodges which offer either 2 or 3 bedroom layouts sleeping up to six people. Two of which are pet friendly and all have outdoor verandas such as the ‘Barefoots Lodge’ which also has an ensuite bathroom and is extra wide offering spacious accommodation to relax in.

There are also touring pitches available should you prefer to arrive in a campervan, motorhome, touring van, trailer tents and tents. With all the usual facilities you would expect to find such as a shower and toilet block, including a disabled bathroom. There's water and waste disposal areas and a laundrette. All the touring pitches have electric hook ups provided, have grassy areas and are pet friendly. Whilst some cater for those wishing to extend their living space by bringing awnings.

    Facilities at this peaceful coastal Parkdean Resort include the use of a local indoor swimming pool, which is only a very short distance away. There’s an amusement arcade, with a games room. Heading outdoors there’s an outdoor play area and a multi-sport playing area. Offering a choice of many activities to participate in such as football and basketball games with other guests.

    There's a bar and restaurant, where you can enjoy a great family meal and refreshing drinks. There's also a Costa Coffee and an entertainment venue which has offers evening and weekend entertainment during the peak months of the year. There are a great choice of clubs and activities for children to get involved in such as art club, kids’ disco's and for the whole family there's Parkdean's linked bingo.

Places to Visit near to Eyemouth Holiday Park

Eyemouth itself has much to see and do which involves a strong link to the ocean. It is well known for its fishing heritage and there are many brightly coloured boats in the harbour. Gunsgreen House which overlooks the harbour is worth a visit if you are interested in the history of smuggling in the local area. There are local boat tours which take in the local wildlife along this Berwickshire coastline. Of course, you could just spend the day at the beach building sandcastles, reading a book and exploring the many rock pools that are exposed at low tide for a variety of sea life. Including a spot of crab fishing. Often you can see the local seals out at sea.

Edinburgh offers the chance to enjoy a bus ride into the city catching glimpses of the coastline. Whilst there, there’s much to see and do including visiting its famous castle on the top of a volcanic hill. Enjoy a stroll along the Royal Mile, with its many shops, hidden courtyards, cafés and historic buildings along the way. Including the must visit St Giles Cathedral. There’s whiskey tasting tours, riverside and park walks which include wonderful views.

Theres a variety of cycle routes in and around Eyemouth itself which range in difficulty but all offer great views of the town, it’s beaches and the local countryside.
