Places to Visit Near Penrhos Park

Llanrhystud provides the closest access to the Cardigan Bay coast. The local beach has a long pebble bank with sand exposed at lower tides and provides a quieter alternative to the larger seaside towns nearby.

Aberaeron is approximately seven miles away and is one of the easiest day trips from Penrhos. The colourful harbour, independent shops, cafés and coastal setting make it ideal for a relaxed afternoon.

Aberystwyth is approximately 10 miles north and provides a larger seaside town experience. Visitors can walk the promenade, explore the castle ruins, visit the pier or take the cliff railway up Constitution Hill.

The Vale of Rheidol Railway leaves from Aberystwyth and travels inland through the Cambrian landscape towards Devil's Bridge.

New Quay is further south along the coast and is well known for its harbour, beaches and wildlife boat trips into Cardigan Bay.

Llanerchaeron provides a National Trust estate with an elegant Georgian villa, farm and grounds.
