Places to visit near Greenacres Holiday Park
Wow, where to begin? Put simply there is much to see and do and I suppose it really depends on who is in the visiting party. By that I mean I’m not sure that toddlers will relish or enjoy a walk up to the summit of Mount Snowdon and enjoy the views before walking back down again. Or even a relatively flat walk around the circumference of Llyn Pardon Lake close to Llanberis. They would, however, probably revel in the opportunity of a bit of crab fishing at the harbourside of Porthmadog.
Alternatively consider catching the steam powered train ride from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog taking in the fine views of the surrounding countryside. Which include mountains, waterfalls and sea views.
For those travelling with older children or no children at all consider a marine safari leaving from Porthmadog or whitewater rafting at the National White-Water Centre at Canolfan Tryweryn.
Love riding bikes? Head off for the day and enjoy some jumps and riding trails at the Coed Y Brenin Forest Park. Or take a leisurely walk along the river at Beddgelert, with great places along the riverside to stop, take a break and enjoy a bite to eat whilst taking a paddle.
