This is one of Haven Holiday’s largest holiday parks in the UK and they really do pack a lot in and not just for the adults and children. This dog friendly holiday park not only has dog friendly beaches nearby, but dogs are also welcomed in certain areas of the many eating venues and pub!
In fact when it comes to eating and drinking here, you really are spoilt for choice! There’s everything you could imagine including a bar and restaurant, pizza’s, fish and chip takeaways and a cakery. There’s also a min-market of course if cooking for the family is the preferred option.
Once completely refuelled and raring to go, there’s a lot of facilities and activities on offer and to consider. Whether you can get through them all though in a single visit is another matter. Indoor activities include a fantastic indoor swimming pool with a range of exciting additions such as slides and spilling water buckets. Theres’s amusement arcades and entertainment venues. Heading outdoors, there’s The Jump and a climbing wall, segway rides and ranger activities.
There are several ways you can choose to stay here depending on your needs and budget. From their Saver caravan holiday homes up to their Signature Gold caravan holiday homes. There’s also a choice of 3 bedroom Lodges available and a choice of 2 – 4 bedroom apartments.
Outside of this wonderful holiday park there is a whole heap of adventures waiting for you including rock pooling at the local beach, sand castle building and wave hopping at the nearby Pwllheli Beach. Exhilarating and breathtaking zip line rides at Zip World, to long hikes or maybe train rides up to the summit of Mount Snowdon.

There are four different styles of lodges to choose from which are all 3 bedroomed and sleep up to 6 guests. Some diamond lodges, benefit from sea views and others may have lakeside views. All are 20ft wide and have outdoor furnished living areas alongside of other great internal features such as dish washers.
There is also a large selection of caravan holiday homes to choose from ranging from their ’Saver’ Caravan which offer standard features such as furnished kitchens and are either 2 or 3 bedrooms and can be dog friendly. Through to their ‘Signature Gold’ caravans which benefit from sea or lakeside views and are either 2 or 3 bedrooms. They have fully equipped kitchens and wide screen TV’s. Ensuite master bedrooms and furnished outdoor living areas. These also offer dog friendly options.

There’s a lot on the park itself to keep all members of the family entertained throughout a stay here in this Haven Holiday Park situated near Pwllheli, North Wales. When I say family that also extends to dogs, as there is a dog agility course on the park to keep the pooches entertained also. Besides that, head off to the adventure village where you can have a go at segway rides, an aerial adventure and The Jump if your brave enough.
Theres a wonderful indoor swimming pool complex which includes a lazy river and slide rides. There are also lanes if you prefer going for a simple swim. Theres an inflatable obstacle course within the pool and outside. Take a tour of the park itself by hiring bikes or enjoy some 4 x 4 off road action on the designated off roading course. When it comes to dining or grabbing a snack, there’s a great deal of choice including the new for 2024 Chopstix which serves Asian inspired food. The Coast House is the place to head which accommodates a range of different food choices to sit down and enjoy. Places to go and days out near Hafan-Y-Mor Holiday Park
Pwllheli itself has a beautiful sandy beach with sand dunes and parts of it are suitable for dog walking. The views are outstanding whether you’re looking out to sea or back towards the land with the mountains in the distance.
Mount Snowdon is much talked about and walked, but did you know there is also a train ride to and from the summit. If this is something that appeals, you can catch the train from Llanberis and experience the epic views all around and out towards the sea. Of course, if it’s the hiking you prefer there are a choice of starting points to select from including the much trodden and starting point of the Pen y Pass car park.
There are many lakes in the area where you can experience a whole range of activities including wild swimming, paddle boarding and canoeing. Lakes include Llyn Glaslyn and Llyn Padarn.
