Pack your hiking boots, there’s moorland, woodland, waterfalls and mountains to explore! The Brecon Beacons has it all. If you hadn’t already brought your bikes along, no fear as there is bike hire available onsite and with Bike Park Wales only a short distance away you will be sure to have a great time.
Brecon itself is a lovely day out which offers canal sidewalks and plenty of fine places to eat and drink. Cantref Adventure Farm offers fun and excitement with segway safari’s, indoor and outdoor activities such as slide rides and animal shows. There’s even a café which serves food throughout the day including breakfasts.
For a mixture of fun and education head over to The National Showcase Centre for Wales where you can check out the caves, head straight over to the Dinosaur Park, have fun in the playgrounds or even pan for gold.
Other good options would include a visit to the Zip World Tower, Dare Valley Country Park and vintage train rides with Brecon Mountain Railway. This is a wonderful thing to do and you can take in the beauty of the surrounding area including the mountains, a reservoir and obviously the locomotive itself.
