The park combines two very different types of holiday. Couples and families can book two-bedroom hot tub lodges, while touring caravan and motorhome guests have large all-weather hardstanding pitches with dedicated adult-only, accessible and general touring areas.

Outdoor activities are one of Meadow Springs' strongest features. The River Trannon runs through the park and provides approximately half a mile of private fly fishing for small wild brown trout. There is also a large watersports lake for paddleboarding and kayaking, miles of walking and cycling routes, pitch and putt, foot golf, football, badminton and a children's adventure play area.

Food and drink is unusually strong for a countryside touring park. Arthur's Restaurant & Bar provides sit-down meals and Sunday lunch, while Jesse's Bar offers a more informal dog-friendly option with breakfast, lunch, evening food, drinks and live sport.

Dog owners are particularly well catered for with a secure exercise field, dog wash, on-park walking and selected dog-friendly holiday accommodation.

Meadow Springs also works well as a base for exploring Mid Wales. Llanidloes, Llyn Clywedog and Hafren Forest are all close by, while Newtown, Powis Castle and the wider Cambrian Mountains provide easy longer days out.

Does Meadow Springs have hot tubs?

Yes. Both current holiday rental lodges have private outdoor hot tubs.

Is Meadow Springs dog friendly?

Yes. Touring guests can bring dogs and the park has a secure dog exercise field and dog wash. One of the two current rental lodges is also dog friendly.

Can you fish at Meadow Springs?

Yes. Approximately half a mile of the River Trannon runs through the park and is available for private fishing. The river contains small wild brown trout and fishing is primarily suited to fly fishing.

Anglers need a valid rod licence and should follow the park's current fishing rules.

Can you take a touring caravan or motorhome to Meadow Springs?

Yes. Touring caravans, campervans and motorhomes are accepted on large hardstanding pitches. General, adults-only and accessible sections are available.

Does Meadow Springs have a swimming pool?

Not yet. A new indoor pool and spa complex is under construction, with the current operator expecting completion in 2027. It should not currently be promoted as an available facility.

Accommodation at Meadow Springs Country & Leisure Park

The current holiday offer consists of two hot tub lodges alongside an extensive touring operation.

Privately owned lodges and static caravans also form a substantial part of the wider park, but these should be distinguished from the accommodation actually available for short holiday rental.

All current touring pitches are hardstanding and designed for year-round use.

Fishing, watersports, walking, cycling, family activities and two food and drink venues provide genuine reasons to spend time on the park rather than using it only as a base.

Private River Fishing

Fishing is one of Meadow Springs' strongest and most distinctive facilities.

Approximately half a mile of the River Trannon runs through the park and is available for guests to fish.

The river holds small wild brown trout and is particularly suited to fly fishing.

This is natural river fishing rather than a stocked commercial coarse lake, which makes it especially appealing to anglers who prefer a more traditional countryside setting.

A valid rod licence is required and anglers should check current park rules before fishing.

Watersports Lake

The park has a large spring-fed watersports lake.

Current activities include paddleboarding and kayaking.

Guests can use the lake for organised water activities, with access dependent on conditions, safety arrangements and availability.

Meadow Springs sits in a particularly useful part of Mid Wales for combining reservoirs, forests, market towns and larger historic attractions.

For a Local Town: Llanidloes

Llanidloes is one of the easiest places to visit from the park.

The historic market town has independent shops, cafés and pubs along with attractive streets and riverside surroundings.

It also provides a useful starting point for exploring the Clywedog Valley and Hafren Forest.

For Reservoir Scenery: Llyn Clywedog

Llyn Clywedog is one of the strongest nearby days out.

The reservoir winds through the hills west of Llanidloes and provides dramatic viewpoints, walking and wildlife watching.

The huge Clywedog Dam is particularly impressive, while the nearby Bryntail Lead Mine buildings add an industrial heritage element.
