Overview of Trawsfynydd Leisure Village

Trawsfynydd Leisure Village is a pet friendly family holiday park located in the stunning Snowdonia National Park. Its location is ideal for several great family days out including walks up to Mount Snowdon, crab fishing from the traditional and still working harbour at Porthmadog. You can try mountain biking at the very close Coed y Brenin Mountain biking centre.

Choose to stay in one of their log cabins which are either 2 or 3 bedrooms with some offering pet friendly stays. There’s also a bunkhouse which has several bedrooms and can accommodate up to 20 people and has shared facilities such as the kitchen and living areas. All the accommodation benefits from the surrounding views including the Rhinog Mountains and it is well known for being a great place for a bit of star gazing at nighttime.

Trawsfynydd Leisure Village is a very peaceful holiday village and as such does not have the facilities of some bigger and well-known holiday parks dotted around the UK. It does however have enough to allow you to have an enjoyable stay and enhance that sense of relaxation when you stay here, perhaps after an exhausting day out. These include a café, shop and a laundrette and also an outdoor play area and dog walking area.

There is a lot to do locally including Welsh Highland traditional steam train rides up into the mountains, from Porthmadog at sea level to Ffestiniog. If you prefer falling downhill rather than travelling up it then head to local mountain bike centre where you can hire a bike for all members of the family. There’s local zip line adventures and the opportunity to give white water rafting a go.

Why is Trawsfynydd Leisure Village a great holiday park choice?

  • It’s ideal for large groups of people visiting offering a bunk house with shared facilities.
  • It’s proximity to Coed y Brenin makes it an ideal location for mountain bikers and walkers alike.

  • It is a tranquil holiday village which is surrounded by stunning countryside views with endless possibilities for daily adventures.
