Places to Visit Near Springwood Holiday Park

Kelso is one of the principal market towns in the Scottish Borders and can be reached on foot from Springwood. Its historic centre has independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, while riverside paths follow the Tweed and Teviot.

Kelso Abbey was founded during the 12th century and became one of Scotland’s largest and wealthiest religious houses. Its surviving stonework stands close to the town centre and provides an introduction to the history of the Border Abbeys.

Floors Castle is the largest inhabited house in Scotland and remains the home of the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe. Visitors can explore the castle, formal gardens, extensive grounds, cafés and children’s play area during the main opening season.
