Pentire Coastal Holiday Park is on Stibb Road just outside Bude, with the town and beaches around 10 minutes by car. It sits slightly inland so you’re driving out to places like Summerleaze Beach and Crooklets Beach rather than walking from the park. Pentire Coastal Holiday Park covers around 44 acres, which gives it a more open feel than most parks in the area. Accommodation is spread out rather than rows and rows like some of the big parks, with holiday homes, lodges and glamping pods positioned across the park.

One of the main things people love park for is the space, especially if they’re bringing a dog. There are large dedicated dog walking areas on the park, including specific dog friendly sections, so you’re not relying on short paths or walking off the park every time the dog needs some exercise!

Accommodation includes lodges and holiday homes alongside glamping pods, which are fully equipped. The pods include their own kitchens, bathrooms and heating, more comfortable that camping and Bude is next to the sea so it get's windy often and the winds off the Atlantic can be strong. Most people head out during the day towards Bude or the coast, then come back to the park that stays quiet in the evening.

On site, what you do have is simple and spread out. There’s an outdoor play area, open space across the park and walking routes. Some seasonal food and drink options are available, but they are limited to the time of year and usually at weekends.

Bude is the main place to visit nearby with Summerleaze Beach, Crooklets Beach and the sea pool all within a 10 minute drive, the Bude Sea Pool is free to use and fatastic fun, take a wetsuit though! The A39 runs close to the park, so it’s also easy to head further up the coast or across into Devon to Hartland or Bideford without needing to go through Bude itself.

This is a park you use as a base. You’re out during the day, then back to somewhere quieter with more space around you than most coastal parks.

Static caravans are a popular choice and they are graded to suit all of your holiday needs and preferences. They are graded from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Gold Plus and Platinum caravans. These caravans are designed to provide comfort, value for money and luxury. All caravans have central heating and double glazing ensuring comfort. With modern interiors, fully equipped kitchens and bed linen provided, all you need to do is select the caravan that best suits your holiday requirements. Additional features could include decking with outdoor furniture, pet friendly, wheelchair access, ensuite or family bathroom. The Platinum Caravans are the premium caravans and they are finished to a very high standard with luxurious fixtures and fittings.

Luxury Lodges are also available at Pentire Holiday Park, they are premium style accommodation, offering you more space with modern fixtures and fittings. Additional features in a lodge could include a walk in wardrobe, king size bed with ensuite bathroom, allocated parking, veranda with outdoor furniture and prime park location.

Glamping Pods are great fun and offer budget friendly accommodation with all of the comforts of home. Each pod can sleep up to four people, bed linen is included, there is a TV in the lounge, kitchenette including hob, kettle and microwave. With heating throughout and ensuite with shower or bath, these glamping pods are perfect for short breaks. 

Park Facilities at Pentire Holiday Park

Pentire Holiday Park is a quiet holiday park focusing on its beautiful surroundings and easy access to wonderful beaches that are less than a ten-minute drive away. Onsite there is a children’s playground that features a large wooden climbing structure with a slide and swings. There is plenty of green space where children can run around and explore, ensuring they use up any access energy they might have. This holiday park is surrounded by 44 acres of countryside, including over 20 acres of private dog walking fields. This holiday park is perfect if you would like your dog to join you on holiday. There are many dog trails around the park with a dedicated dog exercise area with lead free zones so your dog can run and explore in a safe contained area.

Whilst there is not any entertainment or restaurant/bar facilities at this holiday park, there are options to choose from nearby. The village of Kilkhampton is a ten-minute walk away and here you will find two pubs serving classic pub meals and local beers. Here you will also find a selection of Cornish Bakeries and local shops including a Co-op and Spar where you can buy groceries, drinks and essentials. Bude is a vibrant coastal town and a ten-minute drive away, here you will find a wider selection of pubs, shops and restaurants. 

Places to Visit Near Pentire Holiday Park

You are spoilt for choice for things to do near Pentire Holiday Park. If you love being outdoors and exploring coastal paths and gorgeous beaches, there are many fantastic places for you to discover. The pretty, coastal town of Bude is a ten-minute drive away. Summerleaze Beach is beautiful with golden sand this family friendly beach also features an amazing tidal Sea Pool! The Sea Pool is ideal for safe sea swimming and great fun for children to play in (supervised). This beach is great for a variety of watersports including surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering.  

There is a variety of fun family attractions close to Pentire Holiday Park. The Milky Way Adventure Park is approximately a 20-minute drive away. This is an all-weather, family fun day out with rides, slides roller coasters and indoor play area to suit children of all ages. Next door to The Milky Way is The North Devon Wake Park. Here you can take part in a variety of watersports including wake boarding, ringo rides and have fun on the Aquapark obstacle course.
