Sandymouth Holiday Resort near Bude

Sandymouth Holiday Resort is located on the north coast of Cornwall around 3 miles north of Bude, just off the A39. The park sits on a clifftop position above Sandymouth Bay rather than directly on the beach. The park has amazing views though, really stunning from virtually all areas of the park, especially the touring caravan area. The walk down to the beach is not that long at all and Sandymouth Beach is really pretty, great sand and nowhere near as busy as the main beaches in Bude on a hot summers day. Idt's one of our favourite parks, especially if you want a beach holiday, great views and not massive crowds like Newquay.

Bude is around 3 miles away and provides shops, restaurants and access to several beaches including Summerleaze Beach and Crooklets Beach. Bude is a great place to visit, the beaches are fantastic, the Bude Sea Pool is free and fantastic fun, especially when the tide is coming in and all of the beaches are west facing and get great surf.  You can see our full listings of Bude holiday parks here. The South West Coast Path runs alongside the park, with direct access to walking routes along the coastline.

Accommodation includes static caravans and lodges in a range of grades. All units are self catering with kitchens, bathrooms and living areas, and some lodges include private hot tubs.

Facilities on site include an indoor heated swimming pool, a bar and restaurant, an amusement arcade and a children’s play area. There is also a small shop and open space across the park. The scale of facilities is more limited compared to larger coastal parks, with no large entertainment complex.

Guest feedback across platforms is generally positive. Tripadvisor ratings are typically around 4 out of 5 and Booking style scores are usually in the high 8 out of 10 range. Reviews often mention the coastal location, the views and the quieter atmosphere compared to busier parks.

Bude is around 3 miles away, Hartland is around 14 miles away and Tintagel is around 20 miles away. The A39 provides access along the north Cornwall and north Devon coastline. Nearby places to visit include Sandymouth Bay directly below the park, accessed via a steep path, and Tintagel Castle around 20 miles away.
