Overview of Newperran Holiday Resort near Perranporth
Newperran Holiday Resort Newquay, on of the premier Newquay caravan parks located 10 minutes from Perranporth Beach. Newperran Holiday Resort Newquay is an ideal base where you can enjoy the sandy shores of Perranporth Beach and explore Newquay. Set in the village of Goonhavern, you are right by the main A3075 road to Newquay and the road to Perranporth, one of the best beaches in Cornwall.
The park is more spread out than the bigger coastal sites. The accommodation isn’t all packed around one area, so you’re usually walking a few minutes to get to the main building rather than stepping straight out onto it. It feels a bit calmer because of that, especially compared to parks right on the coast.
Most of the activity on site centres around the main building. That’s where the indoor pool is, along with the bar and restaurant, so you naturally end up there at some point during the day. In the mornings it’s mostly families using the pool, then later on it shifts into people grabbing food or a drink.
The pool itself is one space with a separate shallow section, so younger kids tend to stay to one side while others use the main area. Because there isn’t an outdoor pool or anything bigger alongside it, it’s the place people go if they’re staying on site rather than heading out.
The bar and restaurant are in the same building as the pool, so you tend to drift back there in the evening as well. It’s more about having something to eat or a drink than full on entertainment, and once people head back to their accommodation the park goes quiet fairly quickly.
There are a few extra bits around the site like a small gym, a play area and a multi use games area, but they’re not the kind of things people spend hours at. Most people either head out for the day or base themselves around the pool.
Perranporth is the closest beach at about 4 miles, with a large car park right by the sand so it’s easy to get onto the beach without a long walk. Newquay is about 6 miles away and gives you more choice with beaches, supermarkets and places to eat.
The A30 is only about 10 minutes away, which makes a difference if you’re planning to get out and explore, as you’re not stuck navigating coastal roads every time you leave.
This park suits people who want somewhere quieter to come back to after being out during the day, rather than staying somewhere that stays busy from morning through to late evening.
