Sandylands Holiday Park is a wonderful coastal park and has all the necessary requirements for those who prefer to arrive in their own accommodation. Onsite there is a toilet and shower block, drinking water taps, water and waste disposal and a laundrette. All the pitches are hardstanding and do have space for awnings, they also provide electric hookups and can accommodate tourer’s, motorhomes and campervans.
It also has a small number of caravan holiday homes providing accommodation to suit groups of up to 8 people in accommodation with either 2 or 3 bedroom layouts. All the properties include double glazing and central heating with the majority offering extra wide accommodation and being pet friendly stays with some being accessible units. Other features include ensuite WC's, wet rooms and outdoor furnished living areas.

Sandylands Holiday Park has several facilities to provide all you would need to have an enjoyable stay whether staying in one of their caravan holiday homes or on a touring pitch. There is an onsite convenience store which sells all the daily essentials to whip up a fantastic family meal. However, if you fancy eating out or grabbing a refreshing drink there's the Boathouse Bar & Restaurant. There's also a Costa Coffee if you fancy a quick bite and a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Or maybe head over to the takeaway on your way over to the beach for a bite to eat as you watch the sun setting over the horizon.
There are kids’ clubs on offer and an entertainment venue which provides a range of entertainment. The children will love spending time at the adventure playground, indoor heated swimming pool and the amusement arcade with all the excitement of waiting for the pennies or toy to drop.
Onsite you can plan each day’s adventure or check out how much a round of golf is by using the Wi-Fi provided in the Venue. There's a laundrette, toilet and shower block which is particularly useful for those who are touring.
Places to Visit near to Sandylands Holiday Park
Just a short journey north along the coastline from Sandylands Holiday Park will take you to the seaside town of Ardrossan. Not only has it a promenade and sandy beaches to spend the day on with the kids. But it is the gateway to and has wonderful views of the Isle of Aaron. From here there is a short ferry ride, approximatley an hour to the beautiful Isle of Aaron where adventures in abundance await your arrival. These include mountain biking, horse riding and sea kayaking to name just a few. The island is well known for having beautiful and diverse views including mountains and sandy beaches with plenty of opportunities to go crabbing in the many rock pools. The wildlife is spectacular both on land and in the sea and you may be lucky enough to see seals, otters, basking sharks and red deers.
Back on the mainland if golf is your thing, then there is the Royal Troon Golf Club to the south along the coast and a after a short drive inland you will arrive at Kilmarnock where there is not one but two castles to visit alongside of shopping amongst the many independant stores in town and of course excuse the pun not one but three golf courses.
For those who either love Scottish history or poetry or fancy visiting another beach, then a trip to Ayr should not be missed. Here is where you will find the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum which celebrates the Scottish's famous poet.
