Pickering Lodges is a lakeside lodge park just outside the market town of Pickering in North Yorkshire. Many of the lodges have their own private outdoor hot tub on the veranda. Hot tubs are not included with every accommodation type, so choose a lodge that specifically includes one when booking.

Can you go fishing at Pickering Lodges?

Fishing is no longer available at Pickering Lodges. The two lakes remain an important part of the park's setting and provide attractive views from many of the lodges.

Pickering is approximately two miles from the park and is one of the main gateways to the North York Moors. The town has independent shops, pubs and places to eat alongside Pickering Castle and the Beck Isle Museum.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is one of the area's standout attractions. Trains leave Pickering for stations including Levisham, Goathland and Grosmont, with selected services continuing through to Whitby. It gives visitors a chance to see the moorland landscape without spending the day driving.

Flamingo Land is approximately three miles away and combines a theme park with a large zoo, making it one of the easiest family days out from Pickering Lodges.

Dalby Forest is approximately seven miles away and has walking and cycling routes, play areas, picnic spots and forest activities. It is particularly useful for families, cyclists, walkers and dog owners.

The location also makes longer trips straightforward. Castle Howard is within reach to the south, while Scarborough and Whitby provide traditional seaside days on the Yorkshire coast.
